There are various diet plans and the most popular are South Beach Diet, Anne Collin’s Diet, Atkins Diet, Cabbage Soup Diet, Bob Greene’s Best Life Diet, Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet and then the new ones such as Fat Smash Diet, DASH Diet and Size Zero Diet and many more.

According to each of these diet plans, you will surely see the result supposedly starting from the amount of weight you will lose to the fast progress of losing of weight. Some diet plans claim that it is possible for you to lose up to 10-12 lbs in just a week. Claims like these got the attention of the medical experts that it made them warn the people to be more cautious as these claims are not true. In addition, just like losing weight, gaining weight could be dangerous as well.

All of the said diet plans have the same basics. It’s all the fat, bones, muscles and water that contribute to the body weight. If a person takes excess calorie to his or her body, it is possible to increase his or his weight so to avoid such cut down all the calorie intakes. To burn out the stored fat, better to increase metabolism through regular exercise and fat burning foods and supplements. Always remember not to starve the body with the nutrients that are essential.

Normally diet plans goes down into 3 broad categories and these are the “fad diets, diets that are special processed food based, and the “natural diet” plans.

Until now “fad diet” is undefined yet it is popular though. It is a diet plan commonly known as a poor weight loss. Fad diets is known as the fastest weight loss diet plan although their claims are not yet proven by any credible scientific experts. Fad diet is mostly promoted by those who published books or those people who are selling supplements that is responsible for fad diet. Fad diet is not yet clinically proven so it may not give you possible results but it may have bad effects on health.

Food constituents are part of a “natural diet” plan. The constituents are recommended by this diet plan as a helpful (together with the other harmful things) weight loss. Examples of this “natural diet” plan are recommendation of eating fish that is rich of Omega 3 fatty acids such as Sardines, Mackerel etc. or may recommend of drinking low-fat milk but not the usual fresh milk. Natural diet is according to the specific and acknowledged scientific knowledge.

The third diet plan is what they call based on specially processed food supplements or ingredients. This kind of diet plan is popularly commercialized although it has claims that this could be the same as fad diet plans.
